2009 National Youth Media Summit

Earlier this month, 44 leaders in the youth media field, including practitioners, student producers, academics and funders, convened near Chicago to strategize and develop a strategic plan to grow the movement.
Based on summit discussions, the group is in the process of a developing a working paper and strategies for six youth media priority areas , including:
- Research and evaluation
- Strategic partnerships
- Professional development and networks
- Curriculum
- Distribution
- Youth and adult leadership
The summit was managed by McCormick grantee Academy for Educational Development. Stay tuned for the upcoming release of the working paper and investment prospectus.
